Privacy Policy
Effective and updated: 27 September 2026
This Policy explains how MySathiApp (“MySathi”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, moderates, retains and protects personal data when you use mysathiapp.com, ogod.iwishmarriage.com, our web app, Android app, support service, partner programme and related services (the “Service”).
1. Personal data we collect
Account and profile
Name, matrimonial ID, age/date of birth, gender, email, mobile/WhatsApp number, credentials, verification and account status; photographs, biography, partner expectations, marital status, religion/community, mother tongue, education, occupation, income range, family details, habits, physical attributes, horoscope, location and match preferences. Some fields are sensitive or deeply personal; submit only what is needed.
Communications and safety
Messages, voice messages, support chats, interests, requests, reports, blocks and moderation notes. When a call screen says a call is recorded, we may collect its audio, participants, timestamps, duration and audit records. If you do not consent, end the call.
Purchases, partners and technology
Plan/feature, amount, status, transaction reference, time, refund-window and partner/referral attribution; IP address, browser/device, cookies, sessions, login time, notification state, diagnostics and security events. Complete payment credentials are generally handled by the payment provider. Camera, microphone and file access are used only when you invoke a relevant feature and grant permission.
2. Why we use data
- Operate, authenticate and display accounts and matches.
- Provide messaging, calls, support, requests and paid features.
- Moderate profiles, photos, messages, voice content and recorded calls.
- Verify purchases, calculate valid partner attribution and manage refunds/chargebacks.
- Detect fake profiles, impersonation, harassment, financial fraud and unauthorised access.
- Send service, security and activity notifications.
- Resolve disputes, preserve evidence, enforce Terms and comply with law.
- Improve reliability with aggregated or de-identified insights where practical.
We process data with consent, to provide requested services, for legitimate safety and operational purposes, and where law requires. Withdrawing consent may stop affected features.
3. Visibility, recording and moderation
Members see information you publish according to profile and privacy settings. Never publish an address, government-ID number, password, OTP or banking credential. Automated checks and authorised role-restricted staff may review content for moderation, support, purchase verification and safety. Pending content may remain hidden.
Recording notice: recorded calls and audits may be retained to investigate incidents. Recording does not mean every call is monitored live and does not guarantee another member’s identity or conduct.
5. Retention and deletion
Retention depends on account status, moderation/complaint history, transaction and tax duties, security needs, legal holds and limitation periods. Use our account deletion request. Requests are verified to prevent unauthorised deletion. Approved deletion may remove or de-identify profile activity, while limited purchase, consent, safety, fraud, dispute and legal records may remain. Content received by another user may remain in their records or safety logs.
6. Your choices
- Review/correct profile details and manage available visibility controls.
- Block or report users and stop communicating.
- Request access, correction, deletion or grievance review.
- Withdraw optional device/browser permissions.
- Protect credentials and report unauthorised access promptly.
We may verify identity and may limit requests where another person’s rights, fraud prevention, legal duties or evidence preservation apply.
7. Security, adults and international processing
We use safeguards designed to reduce unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure and loss, but no internet service is completely secure. Independently assess people you meet and never send another member money, investments, OTPs, passwords or banking credentials.
The Service is only for adults legally eligible to marry. Data may be processed where our providers operate, subject to applicable requirements and safeguards.
8. Policy changes
We may update this Policy when the Service or law changes. The revised date appears above and material changes may also be communicated through the Service.
